Lifelines collects health-related data, measurements and biological samples from a population cohort of more than 167.000 participants, including children, adults, and elderly, over a 30-year period. Researchers from all over the world may use this data for research into healthy ageing.
The Lifelines protocol was approved by the UMCG Medical ethical committee under number 2007/152.
All participants signed an informed consent form.
