Respiratory problems (ELON <18)

The “Europees Luchtwegonderzoek Nederland III short questionnaire” (ELON III) is the Dutch version of the European Community Respiratory Health Survey (ECRHS).
The short survey, together with the long version, has been used since 1991 as the standard questionnaire for epidemiological studies on respiratory health.
In Lifelines, a subsection of the ELON was asked to adolescents (section: Children & Adolescents).
Note that Lifelines also assessed the ELON in adults and general respiration in children and adolescents .

The original ELON is a 16-item questionnaire with 4 aims.
Three of these original aims were covered independently from the ELON in Lifelines:

collect basic information regarding smoking status;
confirm length of time each person has lived at their current address.
assessment of who is taking medication related to respiratory diseases.

The following aim was reached using the ELON:
