====== Quarantine (Covid-19) ======

[[start|Lifelines]] assessed compliance of adult [[cohort|participants]] with the quarantine and self-isolation guidelines issued by the Dutch government during the 2020 Corona crisis, in the context of a series of [[additional assessments|additional questionnaires]]: [[COVQ]] ([[sections|section]]: [[lifestyle & environment]]).\\
Note that an extensive list questions about [[Lifestyle (Covid-19)|general Lifestyle]], including compliance to other corona-related guidelines, are placed in a separate subsection.\\

Participants were reminded of the difference between **quarantine** and **(self-)isolation**, as follows:
  * "**Quarantine** is a measure for people who have been in contact with a person that tested positive, but are not sick (yet). This is a precaution to stop the spread of the infection in society."
  * "**(Self-)isolation** is a measure for people with symptoms and/or a positive test result, to ensure that this person does not spread the infection any further."
