Addition of small amounts of EDTA to acidified solutions of ascorbic acid, completely protects the vitamin against copper-catalysed aerobic oxidation for over 6 days at room temperature
Dissolve 19.0 g TSP (0.1 M) and 1.25 g DTT with deionized water in a 500-mL volumetric flask and dilute to volume. The solution is stable for 3-4 weeks at 4°C. Dissolve 17.53 g NaCl in deionized water in a 100-mL volumetric flask and dilute to volume (3M).
