====== Memory and Cognition Test (MCOT) ====== MCOT is the name of an additional questionnaire in which a memory and cognition test is performed via a smartphone app, in a subgroup of adult Lifelines participants. Implementation of this additional study in Lifelines was initiated by the department of Nephrology of the University Medical Center Groningen. The test that was used in the MCOT study, was a digital version of the Symbol Digit Modalities Test (SDMT). The purpose of this study was to determine reference values for this digital version of the SDMT, since they may differ from the available reference values that are based on the paper version of the test. The collected MCOT data is currently under embargo. Please contact the Lifelines data managers at data@lifelines.nl for more information. ===== Timeline ===== Invitations were sent in December 2025. Non-responders received a personal reminder after ~3 weeks. Invited participants could download the app and perform the test until January 21st 2026. ===== Response ===== ~25,000 participants (18+) were invited for MCOT. The response rate was 26% (n=~6,500). ===== Variables ===== Will follow.
