====== Diabetes statistics ======

The following statistics provide the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prevalence|prevalence]] of (self-reported) [[diabetes]] types at baseline and the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incidence_(epidemiology)|incidence]] (i.e. self-reported newly diagnosed diabetes since the previous questionnaire) at follow-up questionnaire [[2A]], distributed over age groups.\\
Note that [[blood analyses]] of Lifelines participants showed 46,700 cases of pre-diabetes and 1,800 cases of undiagnosed (i.e. not reported) diabetes.
