====== Default variables ======

Some [[start|Lifelines]] variables are provided by default in every issued dataset (see [[sections]]).\\ 
Note that these variables are not visible in the [[https://data-catalogue.lifelines.nl/|data-catalogue]].

The following variables are provided by default for each participant in the Global Summary table:

| SOURCE             | Way of inclusion                                                                                                   |
| INV_[element]      | Date on which participant received the first invitation to participate in element (month/year)  / 1 variable for each element in your dataset                                         |
| INT_[element]      | Time interval between the element and date of inclusion (in months) / 1 variable for each element in your dataset *  |
| AGE_[element]      | Age on the day of the element (in months) / 1 variable for each element in your dataset                            |

* for visit elements, the INT variable takes the earliest variant date (in (the infrequent) case measurements were assessed at different dates). The precise measurement dates can be found within the visit file.

The following variables are provided by default for each participant in each results table in your dataset (organized per [[data structure|element]])
