====== Children's diet (FFQ-TNO) ======

The diet of [[start|Lifelines]] participants between [[children|8-12 years]] old was assessed with a children's food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) developed by [[https://www.tno.nl/nl/aandachtsgebieden/gezond-leven/|TNO]] ([[sections|section]]: [[nutrition]])((Validation of an FFQ and options for data processing using the doubly labelled water method in children (2011) Dutman et al. Public Health Nutrition 14(3) )).\\
The diet of underage participants was also assessed with various [[Children's diet (general)|general questions]], whereas the diet of adolescents was also assessed using an [[FFQ]] that was originally developed for adults.\\ 
Note that the diet of newborns was assessed using specialized [[infant diet (general)|general]] and [[infant diet (FFQ)|FFQ]] questions in the context of birth cohort [[NEXT]].
